Harlequins vs Colorado Springs
Interactive Roster Match Report Match Photos
In a saga of unconverted opportunities, the Quins fell to the Colorado Springs Grizzlies at their home pitch of Bear Creek. Full
credit for a great game goes to Moe, ERRFU representative center from the Grizzlies, whose powerful running committed the Quin midf
ield defense.
The game started with a fluke try, as the Springs wing was able to collect a
blocked kick off of Prop Rich Mateucci and dart in for the score. The Quins were then unable to take the ball in from within the S
prings 22meter line. Two
missed penalty goals and successful ball-killing from the Springs were the the
highlights for the next 20 minutes until the Springs put in another try.
After Wing 'Doc' Bryan Fox dotted down, and one converted penalty later, the
Quins were relegated to watching unlucky bounces, try saving pushes to touch.
A general feeling that today wasn't to be a Quins victory was confirmed as the
referee's final whistle went, 28-10 in favor of the Grizzlies.
