Omaha, Neb. -- After going undefeated in Denver, playing our disciplined style of rugby for 80 minutes of great rugby; but in Omaha, the Spring season ended with a bit of a disappointment; after not losing a match in Eastern Rockies play, our first match at the Western Territorials was against the eventual winner, Ft Worth, out of Texas. In a hard fought match, the Quins kept the lead until the final few min utes when penalties took their toll. The Ft Worth kicker punished the Quins, an d we fell by 6 points.

The game the next day showed the strength and depth of the Harlequins as 8 new faces appeared, and completely dominated the Kansas State team. The 1997 Western Championships were a wake-up call to the Harlequins, and we're preparing forthe 1998 championships.
